How long till I can see my results?
Results can take up to 2 weeks to take effect. Follow-ups are essential and most individuals are asymmetrical and touch-ups can be essential for the total face treatment plan.
How long does it last?
Pharmaceutical companies suggest product duration last 3-4months, depending on fractures such as metabolism, stress, smoking, exercise, dosage and muscle tone.
Can I bruise?
It isn’t a common outcome, however with any skin penetration there is always a possibility, but results vary from person to person. It is best not to plan a social event or welling after this procedure, 4 weeks before any special plan is best.
Does it hurt?
Pain is subjective, we do not numb for this procedure but can apply ice. It’s a small, fine needle that is only injected superficially under the skin. The procedure takes 10 minutes.
Dermal Filler
What are they?
Dermal fillers are aesthetic gel-based treatment injected into the skin. They are used to reduce wrinkles, restore volume and add contour to the face, neck and body. Dermal filler is a sugar molecule that mimics a naturally occurring product in the human body. This is a water-loving molecule that adds hydration to the skin or area injected.
When can I see my results?
The results with dermal filler are instant, with the addition of swelling. It takes up to 4 weeks to see full results. Shape, size and symmetry can change in the first 1-2 weeks. Products will integrate into the tissue injected in up to 4 weeks. There is no need to rub or massage the product as the new filler technology has tissue integration already built into the product that will soften and smooth out on its own.
What are the potential risks of filler?
Patients should be aware of the risks of potential bruising, swelling, infection and vascular occlusion prior to injection, all this information will be discussed in detail on consultation. However, if the patient has an event or long haul travel it is not advisable to get any injectable treatments. Events vary from person to persons but there are risks with any skin penetration procedure.
Is it painful?
Any break in the skin's barrier can be uncomfortable. At Liquid Gold Aesthetics we provide medical grade numbing cream, dental blocks and ice packs. It’s normal to have slight discomfort during procedures. ‘Beauty is pain’, however, I strive to make it the most pleasant experience possible.
Fat Dissolving
This is a compounded product that was manufactured from a liver enzyme. The liver is used to break down fats in the body. Scientists have created a compound that used this liver process, but specifically target adipose tissue to dissolve fat cells. This treatment is safe and effective in removing moderate to severe 'submental' fat (the fat found under the chin and jowls), helping to contour the jawline and sculpt the chin. Best results are seen with moderate pockets of fat.
What will I look like after
After a fat-dissolving treatment, the patient will be swollen, there is 1 week plus downtime. Swelling is actually a good thing for this treatment, more swelling, more fat dissolving. The compound expands the adipose tissue cells and then then the body metabolises them and break them down. Results can be seen 4-6 weeks post-treatment.
Typical one treatment isn’t ever enough, each patient can vary with results. Some people get a 25% reduction with each session, some clients get a good aesthetic result after their second. Treatments are usually 6 weeks apart. Areas that can be treated are under the neck, jowls, tummy,
PDO threads
What are they?
PDO threads are a new aesthetic treatment, now being offered at Liquid Gold Aesthetics. This procedure is a complementary or standalone treatment to dermal filler or anti-wrinkle. These little pink sticks are a lower risk option for the high-risk filler areas that most injectors won’t touch due to the risk of blindness or necrosis. This thread is placed into the subcutaneous tissue and integrates to start a collagen infusion, therefore bypassing the risk of a blocked blood vessel.
What does this treatment do?
The threads are designed to tighten and thicken the tissue, lifting and contouring the face, creating a more supportive structure for the face. Results are seen in 6 weeks and improve up to 6 months.
